Doctors
Dr. John McDermott joined GVS in 1988 and became a practice owner in 1991. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Master's Degree in Reproductive Physiology and from the School of Veterinary Medicine. His expertise includes reproduction, developmental orthopedic diseases, dentistry, production management, quality milk and dairy farm profit enhancement.
Dr. Sarah Jensen joined GVS in 2007 as a veterinary associate and became a practice owner in 2011. She obtained a bachelors in Animal Science and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. She has a particular interest in equine lameness and continues to develop new techniques in the pursuit of lameness evaluation and treatment. Dr. Jensen is Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians (MAV) certified to provide both acupuncture and chiropractic treatments for large animals. She completed training under the International Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado State University, and the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association in the Spring of 2009.
Dr. Karalyn Lonngren joined GVS in 2021. She obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Rhode Island where she conducted research on small ruminant parasitology. She then received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania where she focused on dairy and equine medicine. Her interests include small ruminant medicine and all aspects of large animal preventative medicine.
