Dr. John McDermott joined GVS in 1988 and became a practice owner in 1991. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Master's Degree in Reproductive Physiology and from the School of Veterinary Medicine. His expertise includes reproduction, developmental orthopedic diseases, dentistry, production management, quality milk and dairy farm profit enhancement.
Dr. Sarah Jensen joined GVS in 2007 as a veterinary associate and became a practice owner in 2011. She obtained a bachelors in Animal Science and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. She has a particular interest in equine lameness and continues to develop new techniques in the pursuit of lameness evaluation and treatment. Dr. Jensen is Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians (MAV) certified to provide both acupuncture and chiropractic treatments for large animals. She completed training under the International Veterinary Medical Association, Colorado State University, and the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association in the Spring of 2009.
Dr. Megan Ruller is a 2018 graduate from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine. She is from the lower Hudson Valley in New York and spent several years training service dogs for children with autism before pursuing her veterinary degree. Dr. Ruller practiced at a mixed animal clinic in Canton, NY prior to joining Granville Veterinary Services in November 2019. Her veterinary interests include bovine and small ruminant medicine and surgery, reproduction, and animal welfare issues. In her free time, Dr. Ruller enjoys spending time with family, friends and especially her dogs.
